About shaders and/or tesselation

As far as I understand, Gaia uses the standard unity shaders. Questions:

1) Can I use any custom and more advanced shaders. This is because I find the terrain masks to be great, but tiling in the terrain looks just awfully old-school.

2) If not, can I customize the standard shaders and use them with Gaia?

2) Does Gaia support terrain tesselation in any way?

Thanks

M.

You can use whatever terrain shader you would like.
For example, you can swap and use GTS or another custom one or one from the Unity asset store.

Kinda I guess, you can still use Gaia as a terrain shader shouldnt affect that aspect of terrain modification of height.
You would just need to follow the instructions of whatever tool you use.

For example, with GTS you plug it in and you can still use Gaia on it.
