"Move to View" placing objects far into the distance

If I make a new, non-Gaia project, selecting a gameobject and then "move to view" puts it a few meters in front of me, as expected.  In my Gaia project on the other hand, the same steps put the object WAAAYYY off in the distance-- still in front of me, just a mile away.

I removed the Gaia Player Controller in case that extra camera was the issue?  Didn't help.  I'm at a loss and wondering if anyone else has run into this?

Thanks!

I just tried to recreate this and sadly no I could not.
If you are on a Windows machine, I highly suggest using CTRL + Shift clicking the box, and moving it.
It will snap to the terrain and always sit on top of it.

Otherwise, look down on the terrain where you want to place it.
I did it multiple times and its working for me.
