Question about Terrain Rendering (Far away areas/squares appear darker than near areas)

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, but I don't know what "key words" relate to this issue. I'm seeing areas of the terrain appear darker, kind of like a LOD that turns a square part of the terrain darker when the camera is far away from that area. It happens in the scene view and in game. Please see the image below:

What's the terminology for what's going on here? And how could I fix these darker portions of the terrain to match the rest?

I'm using Unity 2021.2.17f1 (Windows), Universal Render Pipeline (10+ I think), and Gaia Pro 2021.

It could be lod or it could be imposter terrains. I think you are referring to imposter terrains but please let me know.
