Using quads for SECTR portals?

When I used SECTR back in 2016, I was able to add quad meshes to the scene and make them portals. This was very nice because I could enable the mesh renderer on them during development and see exactly where each portal intersected the game map. But trying to do this now in SECTR 2019, I can't figure out a way to do it. Is this still possible, and if so, how exactly do I do it?
