Hello, just wanted to asked in regards to the ground texture, as well as the new road texture, do this support URP users? Or is it only for the HDRP?

also can we used mat or texture from other 3rd party asset such as Kitbash, EasyRoads Pro, Path Painter or Nature Manufactures road and have it run into gena pro instead of importing the whole package of those said asset packs.

Hi @Kenjo

Our Canopy textures can be used betweeen the two pipelines, since they follow the same format. The format for our terrain layers and road textures is as follows:

  • Diffuse map (_D): Diffuse/Albedo/BaseColor in RGB channels, Smoothness in the Alpha channel
  • Normal map (_N): OpenGL format
  • Mask Map (_M): Metallic in R, Ambient Occlusion in G, Height in B, and Smoothness in the Alpha channel. 

If 3rd party assets have their textures also supporting this format, then they should work with our roads and terrain. 

The GeNa road profile does support assigning a custom material (which can be from a 3rd party), however it will just behave with the current UVs and not have the GeNa specific features such as the advanced ground blending options and noise textures. You can swap to the material mode through the Road Profile's Render Mode:
