No live adjustment feedback for road spline profiles?

I've been following the online tutorials for tweaking a road profile, however when I make changes to the profile they are not reflected on the road until I clear all the nodes and start a new road spine. Am I missing a live-update setting somewhere?

I think I've spotted the issue. If you select the road profile asset and make changes then you do not see the effects. However, if you keep the Spline selected, select the extension and stay in that inspector, then you can directly alter the settings there
