Having Issues with crash when attempting to "Spawn Biomes"

  •     Samsung T5 SSD 512GB

 

I click the button and watch as memory used by the editor spikes to 100% within 30 seconds.  The terrain details are in attached screen shot. Do I really need 64GB Ram just for a 16Sq KM map?

I tried the suggestion of creating 2x2 terrain scenes twice the size (2048) instead of 4x4 (1024) - no change. Still crashes. Looks like my video card but it has 8GB which is not a bad size. Here is the crash:
