Texture black

I'm having a problem and need help.

After generating the terrain with Gaia, I edit it with the Terrain tool.

However, when I add more than 9 texture layers, the texture becomes completely black.

This same problem occurs even if I use the textures that come with Gaia out of the box.

I don't know if it's a Gaia problem or a Terrain tool problem.

I would like some advice on how to resolve this issue.

Hi @lonewolf-cat, Gaia uses Unity standard terrain as output - the unity terrain shader in HDRP and URP does support up to 8 textures / layers, any additional textures will be drawn in black. You would need to use a different terrain shader that supports more than 8 textures / layers.

In response, it is unavoidable that Terrain tools have limitations.

Its not really a limitation of the terrain tools more of the terrain itself, but yeah you would need a terrain shader.
