Convert Mesh back into Terrain

William Freed

Recommended Posts

I had a world of Unity terrains that I exported to blender so I could prepare things like caves and bridges and made some changes.

what I want to do is use the world creator and scanner to re-stamp my world, however because of the “height scale” setting it’s not going to be exact, and I have to guess the height

any solution for this?

I would use the Scanner tool and create a height map that you can then stamp on the terrain.
To do this, go to the advanced tab in the Gaia Manager then tools.
From there, please select the Scanner tool, inject the mesh terrain in, and then scan.
After the scan, you can create a new terrain and apply that stamp in.
