Released
Gaia 2023 v 4.0.5
Warning - the lighting setup for the "Dynamic Day" lighting in HDRP has been overhauled greatly. If you install this update and apply the lighting again to your scene, and you choose the option to override your settings, your current setup will be overridden with this new lighting setup.
- Better handling of lighting profiles: When adding Gaia Lighting to the scene, profile-based settings will be stored as a copy in the Gaia user data folder. This allows you to reset to the default settings of Gaia anytime and prevents accidental overwriting of lighting settings when re-installing Gaia.
- When you re-apply lighting to the scene, you will now be asked if you want to override the current settings, or if you want to create new ones.
- Reworked the "Dynamic Day" Lighting for HDRP
- Reviewed the LOD distances on the trees to reduce pop-ins from LOD changes
- Less aggressive draw distances for the layer-based distance culling (objects, trees, etc. are now rendered out further by default)
- Added options for camera draw distance & post processing setup for custom controllers
- Fixed the stamper and world designer not picking up stamps from stamp packs or from the Gaia User Data/Stamps folder
- Fixed a cross-asset issue with GTS
- Fixed bug where putting terrain on a non-even world position could lead to errors with stamping
- Fixed a bug with collider cooking options that could break the Scanner functionality on very large meshes
- Fixed a bug where HDRP Water would not appear in Unity 2023.2
- Added a separate HDRP Water prefab for Unity 2023.2
- Fixed bugs with the collision mask in HDRP in Unity 2023.2
- Fixed "obsolete" warnings from Unity 2023.2
