If you were using CTS and want to use the new GTS system there is a way you can do so.
Open your project that contains the CTS terrain and add the GTS Component. 
While GTS component is under the CTS component make sure that the GTS Component is pointing towards a proper GTS Profile.
Then select your GTS Profile and choose "Apply Profile" 
Please note: GTS can only support 8 terrain layers.
If you are seeing black parts on the terrain this is why.
To fix this simply remove the additional terrain layers you do not wish you use and then paint over the black areas.
In some cases, it will revert to one that is not deleted.
