  1. Hello all, After building my Gaia project, no terrain is loaded dynamically. I tested this by turning off terrain loading and then loading all chunks, then building the project. The terrain was present in this case. Is this a bug or some kind of glitch with the TerrainLoaderManager? Thank you in advance.
  2. Hey everyone, I've been doing some fooling around with GeNa Pro and Gaia Pro 2021 recently for my game. I have found that when splitting my Gaia world into tiles and using GeNa's runtime API to spawn objects (as is required within my game), the prefabs and objects that GeNa spawns do so on the water on unloaded tiles, probably just due to the fact that the tiles don't exist. I was wondering if there was a fix to this, or a way that I could work around it. One idea I thought might work would be to enable all terrains at the start, generating the objects, then disabling terrains out of sight as the loader does already. This would require some modifications of the Terrain Loader script, so I am cautious about doing anything to it for the time being. Thank you!

    Gaia + Sectr advice

    It's a common question, but I would like some advice in my case 🙂 I got a terrain of 1536 x 1536 divided in 256 x 256 pieces in different scenes (with Gaia). However some of the scenes with the respective terrain and objects inside it are heavy loaded, just loading one of the scenes for example uses 11 GB of memory, while others use just 3 GB. Those heavy loaded scenes are the ones I would like to prioritize and lower the amount of memory I'm using. Most of the memory heavy load is because of the textures the objects have, they are buildings with interiors and props. So here I wonder if it's a good idea to use SECTR to help lower the memory usage or should I look for something else?

    Gaia Legacy Stamp Pack

    Version 1.0.1


    Time to get nostalgic with this Stamp Pack containing 197 original stamps from earlier Gaia versions. While these might be a bit lower in resolution (1k / 2K) than their modern counterparts, they can still be used to enhance your terrain with interesting features. To use the pack, simply install the attached unity package. You can find the stamps in special "Legacy" folders in the main "Stamps" folder. The stamps will appear in the stamp browser in the Stamper. The Legacy Stamps can be used in the World Designer as well, this requires you to configure the World Designer to use the Legacy Folders as source for the stamps, or you could copy the stamp image files from the legacy folders into the "regular" folders so the World Designer will pick them up from there for its default configuration. Please visit the Canopy Library for more detailed installation and usage instructions.
