Rain following the player in buildings

It's probably a simple fix I hope, but weather effects such as rain, follow the player into buildings. So essentially, it's raining in houses as well as outside. Is there something special to do to fix this?

To further clarify, I am using the "Interior Weather Volume", have it childed to the house in question, have tried as a trigger and bounds, but the rain still happens in the house.

After doing some further testing, it seems like the first entrance into the collider doesn't fire the trigger to stop the rain, however, all subsequent entrances and exits of the collider by the player the trigger fires the disabling and enabling of the rain. So the player would have to enter the volume twice to get it to start working. Any ideas on that?

I typically don't attach this directly to the building. 
I would create a 3d cube and remove the render. 
Then I would add the Interior Weather Controller Script to that.

I've tried it different ways, including that way as well. It doesn't really matter how I place the volume in my scene, regardless it takes the player entering it and leaving the volume 1-2 times before it starts registering the trigger being activated every time for the particle effect to be disabled. It's weird.

That kinda sounds like you may need to adjust the rain, and snow system wait period to something lower. 
It would be time on delay that would cause it to potentially do this.
