Moving layers to other ids

Hi. Is it possible to change the layers Gaia Pro uses (PW_Object_Small, Trees, Cliffs, etc) to other ids and so it stays consistent after an update as well?
I have a layer id collision with other assets and it causes a lot of pain.

Technically yes you can, however, you would need to change the biome to reflect it along with the assets.
If you revert and go back to a preset biome you would need to update it again.
You can save and create your own custom biome and just use that as well.

Just update the resources that you use in the biome.

How do I do this exactly?
More specifically - how do I make Gaia to be aware of these new layers?

All you would need to do is change your prefabs to have the layer you wish.
Save the prefab and then place that prefab in the custom spawner or existing one.
If you wish to use a preset biome and use custom layers you will need to select the resource / prefab used in that spawner and then change the base prefab to the layer that you wish and re ingest that prefab.
