Snow effect on my prefabs

Hello, I would like to know how to make my prefabs to be altered by the snow generated by GTS (as well as the prefabs from Procedural Worlds). I saw somewhere that the prefab needs to use your shader, but I didn't get any more information. 

When I say "altered" I mean looking like there is snow in the mesh of the object (I believe it is an effect and not a layer of something itself). 

To recap, I want to know how I can reproduce this behavior in my own prefabs.

Hi @danielRibeiroDev,

GTS is compatible with Gaia's shaders that support snow: 

In Builtin:

  • PWS/PW_General_Deferred
  • PWS/PW_General_Forward


  • ShaderGraphs/PW_General_ShaderGraph_HDRP
  • ShaderGraphs/PW_Foliage_ShaderGraph_HDRP


  • ShaderGraphs/PW_General_ShaderGraph_URP

These shaders make use of a cover layer node that adds support for snow:


You can also find the implementation in the built shaders:



We also have a HDRP/LitWeather shader in the HDRP Time Of Day asset if you have that installed as well, which can be used to add weather into a material. The node that adds these features can be inspected in the LitWeather shadergraph: image.png.01872797f059977cd7df31c46aa41cef.png
