A pack of spawner settings for the Big Environment Pack Reforged by Philipp Schmidt - to be used with GeNa Pro and optionally Gaia Pro 2021.

Intro

I love modular asset packs! 

I get excited by visions of the amazing worlds I could create, and so i start placing blocks... and then reality sets in. 

Manually placing tens to hundreds of thousands of perfectly aligned objects into your scene is intensely time consuming.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could create and place infinite variatons of landscapes within minutes? What about flattening the terrain under buildings, or painting forests, or making roads, paths, rivers and fences?

Enter the Procedural Worlds Spawner Pack for Big Environment Pack Reforged. It merges the procedural power of Gaia Pro and GeNa Pro with your artistic vision to enable you to create in minutes what would take weeks or months by hand!

Sample Work Flow:

Here is a example work flow for how you would create or enhance your scene with the BEPR Spawner Pack asset.

  1. Create your terrain with Gaia Pro 2021
  2. Fill your scene with GeNa Pro:
    1. Manually place castles, ruins and rock clusters with a click
    2. Add rivers and roads and even whole streets along splines with GeNa Pro
    3. Add a wide range of props all perfectly placed with more clicks
    4. Paint in trees, bushes, small rocks, and other small detail assets
  3. Finalize & optimize your scene with Gaia Pro

Please note, steps 1 & 3 are optional and can either be omitted completely or done with your existing tool of choice. GeNa Pro works with both mesh terrain and Unity terrain.

Design Time or Runtime!

GeNa Pro works as happily at run time as it does at design time. For more advanced developers the GeNa Pro spawners can be executed via scripts at runtime for completely random procedural environments.

Unofficial SRP Support! (coming soon)

The Big Environment Pack Reforged officially does not support HDRP & URP, but as with our other spawner packs we added unofficial support packages that replace the shaders used in the pack with compatible Gaia shaders - this allows you to use the pack in all render pipelines. (Requires Gaia Pro, some limitations apply, e.g. trees will not use billboards, VFX might look different across the pipelines, etc.)

Required Assets:

The BEPR - Spawner Pack is a hybrid asset pack. What this means are that there are several other packs that must also be purchased and installed in order for it to work as it builds on their content and systems.

Note : Gaia Pro 2021 is optional - you can use the GeNa presets on unity terrains made with other tools as well.

  • SRP-Support: Added support packages for the three different render pipelines. When you own Gaia, you can now use the pack's contents in all render pipelines with the Gaia shaders. Please refer to the (updated) manual document before using the SRP support packs; there are more detailed installation instructions inside this document.
  • Added Lighting settings for HDRP and URP
  • Removed Second Sand texture from texture spawner to stay within under eight textures for HDRP compatibility
  • Fixed issue where the Village and Castle GeNa spawners could lock other spawners
